We Are Silent

Silence

 Participating all around the world,
Standing still in solidarity.

 Silence

Our stillness is their voice,
We quiet down while they speak up.

 Silence

For the children working as labourers,
Denied of their basic human rights.

 Silence

Raising awareness to the public,
Making our quietness louder than words.

Silence

    wow! I am very impressed :) I especially love the line "our stillness is their voice." and "making our quietness louder than words." This poem is beautiful Skyler. Would you consider letting me send it in to Free The Children ? I am so happy that you not only took part in the Vow of Silence - but that you truly reflected today and spent some time writing about those who have lost their voice!
